Goat Squad Studios ("we", "us") runs analytics on this site only after you opt in, we don't sell your personal information, and we only collect what we need to run the site, reply to you, and deliver our work. You can decline analytics, change your mind, or ask us about your data any time. The details are below.

This policy applies to the Goat Squad Studios marketing site at goatsquadstudios.com and our client portal. We are a software studio based in Bakersfield, California, United States. For privacy questions, contact support@goatsquadstudios.com.

We collect three kinds of information:

• Information you give us. When you submit a contact form or project brief, we receive what you choose to send — for example your name, email, company, budget/timeline, and a description of your project.
• Account information. If you use the client portal, our authentication provider creates an account record (e.g. name, email, and login credentials managed on your behalf).
• Information collected automatically. With your consent, our analytics provider collects usage data such as the pages you view, approximate (city-level) location, device and browser type, referring source, and on-page interactions. If you decline, none of this is collected.

• Essential cookies. A small gss_consent cookie remembers your analytics choice. Portal sign-in relies on a session cookie set by our authentication provider. These are required for the site to function and are not used for tracking.
• Analytics cookies. Loaded only after you select "Accept" on the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics scripts or cookies are loaded.

With your consent we use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google LLC, to understand how the site is used. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes data such as your IP address, device and browser information, and the pages and events you interact with. Google acts as our data processor for this purpose. We use standard measurement only — we do not enable Google's advertising features, Google Signals, or remarketing.

You can control this collection in several ways:

• Decline analytics on our cookie banner (or clear the consent cookie to be asked again).
• Install Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
• Block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

• To respond to your inquiries and prepare estimates or proposals.
• To deliver, maintain, and support our services and the client portal.
• To understand and improve how the site performs (analytics, with consent).

Where the GDPR applies, our legal bases are your consent (analytics), performance of a contract (delivering our services), and our legitimate interests (running and securing the site).

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share data only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract, including:

• Analytics (Google Analytics), if you've consented;
• Authentication for the client portal;
• Email delivery, to receive and respond to your messages;
• Cloud hosting and storage for the site and your project records.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above — for example, inquiries and project records for as long as we work together and for a reasonable period afterward, and analytics data per our provider's retention settings. We delete or anonymize data when it's no longer needed, or on a valid request.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Everyone can decline or withdraw analytics consent at any time (via the banner, by clearing the gss_consent cookie, or with Google's opt-out add-on) and control cookies in their browser.

EEA / UK (GDPR). You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

California (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know, delete, and correct your personal information, to opt out of its sale or sharing (note: we do neither), to limit use of sensitive personal information, and to non-discrimination for exercising these rights.

We operate in the United States, and your information is processed here. If you access the site from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., which may have different data-protection rules than your country.

The site is not directed to children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll delete it.

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above, and material changes will be reflected here.
